"Bird's Eye View - Lily Lake"
Plein Air Oil on Linen Panel
Image Size 8 x 16
I had to go back twice to finish this one, which required a slight uphill hike above Lily Lake. I loved this tree I ran across up there and wanted it in my foreground to give lots of atmospheric perspective to the mountains. The only problem was that I didn't get the tree completely done on my first hike, because it took so much time for me to get the mountains right. There's always something, but that's what makes it so challenging. This is in Rocky Mountain National Park, CO.
